A Special Thanks To The Golfers and Supporters of the 2010 Bob Goalby Golf Open

The 29th annual Maur Hill-Mount Academy/Bob Goalby Golf Open was contested between 138 golfers who teed off at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning at the Sunflower Hills Golf Course near Bonner Springs. A total of 23 teams participated
in the event.
This year’s tournament raised $82,000.00 for Maur Hill-Mount Academy.
All money raised, except for the golf fees and carts, enables Maur Hill-Mount Academy to continue its objective of preparing young men and women in the Benedictine tradition of prayer, work, and love of learning.
Alumni and friends from across the United States returned to compete for prizes.

Above: Second place went to Dave Rindom '73, Tom Cray ’73, Greg Wyatt ’73, Bill Nolan ’73, , Bob Peterson and Tim Nass ’73 , with score of 61 ties for second with a card playoff.
Below: Third place went to Steve O’Keefe ’86, Matt Lomshek ’86, Shane Boos ’86, Mark Gellings, Tom Senecal ’86, and Mike Lasater '86 with a score of 61.

Winners of the closest to the pin contest were Kevin Pierce ’93 Hole #4, Hole # 8 Adler Pruett ’09, Hole # 13, Kevin McDermed and Rob Miller ’84 Hole # 16. Coca Cola and Jim Hempstead ’60 donated gifts.
Winners of Cards on the Course were Richard Miles’72, Alex Brull’09, Dan McGurk’89 and Ray Schrick’99. Gifts were donated by Tim Carrigan’92. The game was coordinated by Theresa (Kuckelman) ’80 McDermed.
Drive for the water was won by Joe Miller ’82 & Dan Miller ’85.
Gifts donated by Blish-Mize, Carrigan Lumber, Hundley Liquor and MaMa Mia’s , Maur Hill Prep Endowment, Marty Clements ’69 Clements Ins, sponsored the hole in one contest $10,000.00 cash.
The golfers were treated to Italian sausage donated by Susan Keeley and made by Gerald Urban’59, Jerry Urban;89 and Mark Brull, ltalian bread by Roma Bakery, liquid refreshments on the course during the day courtesy of Tanner’s Bar and Grill, CocaCola and BBQ dinner courtesy of Metropolitan Steak House & Riverhouse, Dustin Hundley ‘ 95 and Cupcake Fool, Joanne (Rauth)’85 Scurato & Breakfast rolls by Liz ( Kuckelman) ’85 Wagner, also a thank you to 306th Road Band & Garin Nolan ’98.
